 Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
This insurance limits the vehicle damage liability to the deductible of $975 USD.
Theft Protection
This insurance limits your liability in case of vehicle theft to a maximum of $1,200 USD
(You have the option of lowering this deductible to $125 USD (see below for details)
Third Party Property Insurance (LDW)
This insurance limits the potential liability to third party property to 20 percent.
Personal Liability Insurance (PLI)
This insurance releases the renter from all liability for injuries to third party individuals outside the vehicle up to 150 Million Colones or about $291,000 USD (exchange rate: 515 Colones per $1.00 USD)
 Lower CDW/Theft insurance deductible (Optional)
Lower the deductible on CDW & Theft insurance to $125.00, for $8 per day.

Insurance coverage is void if (a) the driver is not authorized by the our company to operate the vehicle (b) the driver is under the influence of alcohol and/or illegal substances (c) the vehicle is operated in a manner that is against the laws of Costa Rica.
Collision Damage Waiver- and Theft Protection deductibles are doubled for drivers between ages 18 to 21.
Insurance does NOT cover damage to the tires, windows, roof rack, underside- or interior of vehicle.

Credit Card Insurance Programs
We accept most credit card rent-a-car insurance policies. Many credit card rental policies insure the rented vehicle against Damage (CDW) and Theft but may not protect against Third Party Property (LDW) liability. Please inquire with your credit card provider about the details of the rent-a-car insurance protection plan.
Using an insurance program provided by some types of gold or platinum credit cards is a good advantage since these credit cards would cover small scratches, small dents as well as the entire rented vehicle in case of collision or theft.
